TCB reports that Edward tried to debar his eldest son from inheriting the baronetcy by surrendering the title and obtaining a new patent of baronetcy that identified his 2nd son as his successor. However, it was held that he did not have the right to do so. BEB1844 shows that Robert, though disinherited, did inherit the title but TCP reports that Robert dvp. Consequently, BEB1844 and TCB disagree as to the numberings of the baronets. [Lipscomb does not number the baronets.] Although we would normally give precedence on such matters to TCB over BEB1844, the frequency of cross-referencing to this family using the numberings set by Burke lead us to show both numberings. | |||||||||||||||
