Families covered: Stacpoole of Annagh, Stacpoole of Cragbrien Castle, Stacpoole of Edenvale, Stacpoole of Ennis, Stacpoole of Limerick
The archerfamily site, which refers to (inter alia) BIFR1976 (which we have yet to compare the following with), starts with 2 brothers - Leonard & Bartholomew - whose father may have been either John (Provost of Limerick in 1555) or Thomas (Bailiff of Limerick in 1559) either/both of whom may have been descended from one or more of the following who were earlier Provosts of Limerick - Robert (1513), Philip (1500), Maurice (1492). BLGI1912 starts with Bartholomew, Sheriff of Limerick in 1596, father of 3 sons, 2 of whom were James (m. Christian Comyn) and Robert (father of Clement). Provisionally, we follow the archerfamily site by starting with the brothers Leonard & Bartholomew but we may revise this in due course. | |||||||||||||||
