BLG1858 identifies the arms of this family as "Or, a cross, gu.; in the 1st quarter, a lion, rampant, sa.". It is not known whether or not there was any connection between the following with the people mentioned ## here and here ## or with Ulick Burke, Baron of Tyaquin, who was also Viscount Galway.

BLG1858 reports that the following family "is a branch of the ancient house of Burke of Meelick" and identifies the arms of this family as the same of those of Burke of Prospect Villa (to which family we have yet to find a connection) whose arms are shown as "Or, a cross, gu.; in the dexter quarter, a lion, rampant, sa." which is clearly comparable to that shown for the family just above.
