  Visitation (Essex, 1612) shows Robert's only wife, and mother of John, as Margery Chichley. However, the Miscellanous Essex Pedigrees section shows that he married twice, to Margery Chichley and to Margaret Knowles, and that Margaret was mother of John. This is supported by 'Magna Carta Ancestry' (see note just below).

  Visitation (Essex, 1612) shows John as m1. Phillip, dau of Thomas Bardfelde m2. Elizabeth Harpsfild (who also m. John Dyngley) m3. Elizabeth, dau of Sir Edward Odingsells with Phillip(a) Barfelde being mother of his children. However, the Miscellanous Essex Pedigrees section shows that he m1/2. Elizabeth, dau/heir of Richard Braytoft (by Elizabeth Dodingsell) m3. Margaret Norris with Elizabeth Braytoft being mother of George (no other children mentioned).
