BLG1886 includes the following note: "Wordsworth wrote some lines on a tree said to have been planted on a hill in Darley Dale in memory of the parting for life of two brothers, one (the elder) the ancestor of the Shores, Barons Teignmough." BLG1886 also records that the following John Shore "descended from the Shores of Darley Dale", thereby indicating that the following family is a branch of that shown above.
