  Visitation (1563-4 & 1584/5 of Rocliffe) show this Bryan as married to Jane and father of Sir John who married Margaret Plumpton. However they also show his nephew Brian as the same, making it clear that there was duplication. Visitation (Rocliffe of Colthorpe) shows that the John who married Margaret Plumpton was his nephew (above) so we are not sure whether or not this Bryan actually existed.
