The following connection is speculative but appears to be reasonable. Wikipedia ("Sir Samuel Garth") reports that Sir Samuel, who must have been reasonably well connected to have obtained his position, was born in Bolam and the dates fit to show him as son of Francis though, of course, it is possible that he was nephew or some other relation. | |||||||||||||||

The 'History of Parliament' web site reports that Charles & Fanny had 3 sons & 4 daughters. It is known that the following Charles and his brother Thomas were descended from the above-mentioned Elizabeth Colleton as that was the reason why they inherited Haynes Hill.
