TSP mentions only 1 son, Charle, but adds that Alexander had "a numerous offspring, most of whom died young and are unknown". 'The Pedigree Register' identifies Alexander's wife as Catherine Cunningham but notes that 'the Scottish Antiquary' identifies her (as does TSP) as ...
