  D.+ other issue - George (a 1619), John
HJHeraldry (Campbell, vol 1, 'Stratheden and Campbell', p48) & BP1934 ('Stratheden and Campbell') report that the following George was or at least his descendants claimed that he was descened from the Campbells of Kethiock. We speculate that he was of the next generation, possibly son of George or John.
  i. George Campbell of Baltullo, Fife (a 1662)
  a. John Campbell of Baltullo (eldest son)
(1) George Campbell, last of Baltullo (d young)
  (A) George Campbell (d 1825, minister of Cupar)

  i. John Campbell of Souterhouses (Soutarhouses), later of Calsayend (d c1640)
  m1. Isabel Nevay
m2. Anne Campbell (dau of Ronald Campbell of Craignish)
  m3. Mary (or Marjory) Robertson (a 1648)
Not sure which wife was mother of ...
a. William Campbell of Calsayend
  b. George Campbell of Kinochtree (Kinnochtrie) & Friertoun (d 1673)
The following (and the connection above) is partly supported by BLG1952 ('Warrand of Ormidale'). HOWEVER, it should be noted that HJHeraldry (Campbell, vol 1, 'Kinochtree, Otter, Ormidale, and Ardmannoch', p51) provides a different parentage & ancestry for this George, showing him as son of John Campbell of Kinochtree, who was "probably younger son" of Thomas, son of Colin, 1st Earl of Argyll. Apart from that, HJHeraldry (p51+) supports some of the following.
  m. Janet Murray (d c1683, dau of Donald Murray, Provost of Inverary)
(1) Archibald Campbell (dvpsp 27.07.1671)
  (2) Colin Campbell of Kinochtree, Pennyland & Otter (Ottir) (d 1679/12.1678)
  m. (mcrt 22.04.1664) Anne Campbell (dau of John Campbell, 4th of Lochnell)
  (A) Alexander Campbell of Kinochtree (dsp Hochstadt 07.08.1704)
  partner unknown
  (i) Alexander Campbell
  (B) George Campbell (dsp)
(C) John Campbell of Kinochtree & Otter, & Ormidale (d 29.09.1763, minister of Glendaruel)
It appears that John bought Ormidale in 1728 from Colin Campbell of Ormidale (or from his heirs, executors or creditors) and bought Otter from Patrick Campbell of Evanachen & Otter.
m1. (16.04.1701) Margaret Campbell (dau of Sir Colin Campbell of Ardkinglass)
  (i) George Campbell of Ardmannoch
RedBookScot shows George as married to Mary Fergusson and father of Archibald of Ardmannoch. Provisionally (somewhat arbitrarily) we follow BLG1952 which shows the followin whilst HJHeraldry suggests that he was father of (only) Archibald.
  m. Janet Cunningham

  (4) Donald Campbell of Glasgow, 1st of Smiddiegreen
Thanks to a contributor (BD, 22.01.16) who helped us correct a mistake in showing Donald (and George & their sisters) a generation earlier than is now shown (which is supported by BLG1952).
  m. Margaret Adie or Eadie of Smiddiegreen (heir)
(A) George Campbell, 2nd of Smiddiegreen (bpt 15.10.1674, dsp before 03.1695)
  (B) Colin Campbell, 3rd of Smiddiegreen (bpt 11.12.1676, 3rd son)
Our record of data from RedBookScot shows that that source suggests that Colin's wife may have been a daughter of Alexander Nairne of Sandford (married 27.07.1705?). Thanks to a contributor (BD, 22.01.16) who advised us that 'Public Register of All Arms, vol 1, p460, 1792' identifies Colin's wife as Christian, dau of Sir Thomas Nairn of Saintfort (Sandford), Alexander's father. However, the Nairne source does show Colin's wife (with dates supporting the view) as ...
  m. (27.07.1705?) Christian Nairne (dau of Alexander Nairne of Sandford)

The following additional daughters were kindly brought to our attention by a contributor (JB, 02.09.06). They were originally reported on the continuation page. It is noted that the sons reported by JB were Archibald of Potento, David of Kethick, Colin of Crunan, Thomas of Kethick, Nicholl of Dalvany (Dean of Lismore) & John of Souterhouse which is not fully consistent with what is reported by MacGregor.
