| Commoners identifies the following family as "A branch of the ancient Welsh family of Morgan, of Tredegar, (which) was settled at Commerton, in Worcestershire, in the reign of Henry VIII" (who r. 1509-1547) and identifies the following Robert as son of Sir Thomas Morgan of Langston & brother of Sir William Morgan.
