John Goodwin in Woodburn Deyncourt (d 1488)
VCH (Buckinghamshire, vol 3, 'Parishes: Wooburn') identifies this John as father of John, grandfather of Sir Francis. However, Lipscomb starts with a William (citizen of London) who bought Nether Winchendon c1558 and was father of the John who m. Katherine Bledlow. The dates support there being an additional generation.

Lipscomb does not follow this line. Visitation shows just one wife for John, Anne Spencer.
