Families covered: Conyngham of Mount Charles, Conyngham of Slane, Conyngham of Spring Hill

BP1934 reports that "The ancient family of Conyngham is originally from Scotland." It is noted that 'Conyngham' is a variation of 'Cunningham' and that the branch of that family which is (arguably) most associated with that variation is that of Glengarnock.

5.+ other issue - 3 sons, 2 daughters, 18 others (d infant)
We speculate that one of the younger sons was father of the following Henry. This is because of the family connection (the daughter of the above Katherine & Bishop John Leslie was mother of the undermentioned Andrew Hamilton), the general location (in co. Donegal), and the shared spelling of the family name. Note that we have NOT yet seen any real evidence to support this possible connection.
  A. Henry Conyngham of Castle Conyngham, co. Donegal
