Clutterbuck identifies the arms of this family as "Azure, an unicorn rampant Erminois". Visitation (1612) identifies them as "Azure, a unicorn salient erminois" impaling those of Glover ("sable a chevron ermine between three crescents argent, a bordure, or") and reports that the following John "borne in the Duchey of Normandy in Fraunce, Came into England with K. Henry the 7th and was his Secretary for the French tonge".
