1. Roger Ryvet of Fritton (a 1306)
  A. John Ryvet (a 1347)

  m. _ Wolterton (dau of W. Wolterton)
  (i) John Ryvet of Earlsoham (d 1480)
  m. Elise de la Bere of Hornby
BP1934 shows John & Elise as parents of (1) John of Monewden Park whose eldest son, by an unnamed Bedell of Erring, was Andrew Revett of Brandeston Hall and (2) Sir Thomas Ryvett of Onehouse, Stowmarket, who married Joan Raven. However, Visitation (Walter Metcalfe (1882), Suffolk, 1612, 'Ryvett of Rattlesden' in 'Additional Suffolk Pedigrees', p205) shows the father of that Thomas (as eldest son) plus that John plus another John 'of Rishangles' as an earlier Thomas Rivett of Stowmarket (the first generation mentioned). Provisionally, noting that BP1934 shows Thomas as having died 55 years after John, we insert the Thomas mentioned by Metcalfe as an additional generation not shown by BP1934.
  (a) Thomas Ryvet or Rivett of Stowmarket
((1/2)) John Revett or Ryvet of Monewden (Molenden) Park, Suffolk
The following is supported by Visitation (Walter Metcalfe (1882), Suffolk, 1612, 'Ryvett of Brandeston', p162).
  m. Christian Bedell of Erring/Essex
((A)) Andrew Revett or Ryvet of Brandeston, Suffolk had issue
BP1934 identifies Andrew as the eldest son and reporta that his descendants resided at Brandeston Hall "until their extinction in 1857" but does not follow this line any further.

((2/1)) Sir Thomas Ryvett of Onehouse, Stowmarket (d 1535)
  m. Joan Raven (dau/heir of Thomas Raven of Needham)
((3)) John Ryvett or Rivet of Rishangles, Suffolk
Visitation (Walter Metcalfe (1882), Suffolk, 1612, 'Ryvett of Rattlesden' in 'Additional Suffolk Pedigrees', p205) shows a 3rd son of this generation, John of Rishangles, and refers to Visitation (Walter Metcalfe (1882), Suffolk, 1612, 'Ryvett of Rishangles, p162) which starts with such a John but identifies him as "descended of a third brother". Given that there was already a John in this generation and that having 2 sons of the same name was unusual (albeit not particularly rare), we thought of inserting an additional generation here. However, the dates suggest that the 2nd John was of this generation. He may have been cousin of the above John & Thomas rather than brother.
  m. Margaret Beck of Norfolk (coheir)
((A)) Thomas Rivet or Ryvett of Rishangles
m. Jane Bolney (dau of Bartholomew Bolney of Bolney)
((i)) John Rivet or Rivett of Bildeston (Bilson), Suffolk (d 1624)
