BEB1841 ('Lawrence of St. Ives') reports that the following Sir Edward had the same arms as the Lawrences of Iver who are shown on Lawrence02. HoP ("Edward Lawrence") reports that he was "Descended from a junior branch of the Lawrences of Slepe in St. Ives". Provisionally we are leaving aside 'History and Antiquities of the County of Leicester' (John Nichols, vol 3, part 2, 1804, p1135) which shows the undermentioned Sarah as sister of Sir Edward, both being children of Henry son of John (by Elizabeth, dau of Ralph Waller of Clarkenwell (son of Henry (by Elizabeth Hagar of Bourn) son of William of St. Ive's (by Frances Hungston).

Vivian shows the arms of the following as "Arg. a cross raguly gu. on a chief of the second a lion passant Or" which is also the same as the above-referred Lawrences of Iver except that that lion is shown as passant rather than as passant guardant.
