Sir William Jermy
1. Sir John Jermy
Visitation shows Sir John's wife (and mother of the next Sir John) as Margery, daughter of Roger Bygott, Earl of Norfolk and Earl Marshal, and younger sister and co-heir of the wife of Thomas Brotherton, 2nd son of King Edward I, later Earl of Norfolk. However, TCP (Norfolk) shows no such wife for Thomas Brotherton and the Roger Bygott (Bagot) indicated by the dates of Thomas Brotherton as being the relevant earl, the 5th Earl, is reported by TCP (Norfolk) as having dsp rather than dspm. Hence, we query this identification of Sir John's wife. However, it remains possible that she was daughter of an earlier Bagot Earl of Norfolk.
