John Dyott of Stichbrook & Lichfield, Staffordshire (a 1562)
m. Catherine Weston (dau of John Weston of Lichfield, son of John of Rugeley)
Commoners shows John & Catherine as parents of Joan (m. Richard Cresswell) and John (d 1580 aged 61, bailiff of Lichfield, m. Margaret, dau of Robert Hill of Lichfield), father of Anthony & Arthur. Visitation (1614+1663-4) shows Anthony as his son with John (proctor in Lichfield, m. Mary, dau of Robert Hill of Lichfield) as younger brother of Anthony & Arthur (and Jane) and father of various children. Visitation (1663-4 additions) shows the above John as father of Anthony, Arthur & John (proctor in Lichfield, m. Margaret Hill). BLG1886, which does not name Catherine, identifies the above John as grandfather of Anthony, not naming the intermediary generation. The following tries to pull this together!
