It is our presumptuous speculation that William was the same person as the William whose line is given in FMG alongside that of Gamaliel with a note that the following "is founded on good evidence" but, with relation to the line of Gamaliel, "the question is how they are to be united". In FMG, Hunter states "I imagine that William who mar. ... Elmsall was the son of (this) William" but BLG1952 does not support that. | |||||||||||||||
