  m. (1673) Catherine Mackenzie (dau of John Mackenzie of Applecross)
i. Kenneth Mackenzie (d before 1738?)
ii. Alexander Mackenzie of Lentran, Tarradale & Rhindoun
(1) BP1934 identifies Alexander as a younger son of Simon. 'History of the Mackenzies' names the elder son as Kenneth but appears to confuse him with his nephew.
(2) BP1934 follows 'History of the Mackenzies' albeit with less detail, not showing this Alexander's wives and reporting only that, other than Kenneth, he had 3 sons (d unm) & 6 daughters. The archive.org copy of 'History of the Mackenzies' shows an insert after p608 which does not identify any daughters and suggests that Alexander (m1. Abigail m2. Ann) was followed by another Alexander (son of Abigail) who, by Margaret (dau of the widow of McDonald of Barisdale (who m2. Dr. McLean of Inverness)), was father of John of London (who d unm?). As BPGS2001 ('Mackenzie of Coul, Bt') continues to follow BP1934, provisionally we ignore that insert except on the order of the marriages as Anne did marry again after Alexander. Note that the insert shows Abigail as mother of Alexander, John & Colin and Ann as mother of Roderick, Kenneth (d young) & John whilst the original 'History of the Mackenzies' shows Anne as mother of all of the children.
m1. Abigail Mackenzie (dau of Charles Mackenzie of Cullen)
m2. Anne Mackenzie (dau of Roderick Mackenzie of Applecross, m2. Alexander Mackenzie of Davochmaluag)
As indicated above, we are not sure which wife was mother of which of the children.
