  (A) Michael Blackett of Woodcroft
The above ancestry is given by BLG1850 which reports that Michael was 4th in descent from Sir John. BLG1850 also reports that Michael was great-grandfather of William of Hoppyland. BEB1844 (Blackett of Newcastle) names the great-grandfather of William of Hoppyland as Nicholas Blackett of Woodcroft (married to Alison, daughter of Sir Rowland Tempest of Holmside). The intervening generations are reported by BLG1952 which starts with Richard following and does not suggest that he was son of Michael (or Nicholas) of Woodcroft. This suggests that this connection may not be fully secure.
