BLG1937 reports that Mary Anne married General Tinling. A search online found only one General Tinling of this period, identified by Wikipedia as shown below. Wikipedia reports that David changed his name following his marriage in 1784 to Sarah Teasdale, niece/coheir of John & Nathaniel Widdrington, by whom he had issue. We presume that either Mary Anne was David's 1st (short-lived) wife or his 2nd wife or that BLG1937 and/or Wikipedia were wrong (unlikely the latter given the reference to that marriage in the Teasdale records) or that there was another General Tinling. | |||||||||||||||
