Commoners reports that "The Spooners were in possession of property in the vicinity of Birmingham temp. Henry VIII., and at Henwood Hall, in the county of Warwick, towards the close of te fifteenth century." Whilst Commoners gives precedence to the arms of Lillingston over those of Spooner, it identifies the Spooner arms as "az. a boar's head in bend ar. armed or, couped, guttée de sang." It is clearly believed that the following family was connected to the one shown above.
