Families covered: Scully of Kilfeacle

According to BLG1886, "The sept of Ua Scolaidhe, O'Scully, or Scully, is stated to have been of Milesian origin" and "the literal meaning of the word "Scully" is scholar, or narrator of events." Both BLG1886 & BLGI1912 start with the following Jeremiah who, with his brother Roger (d 1704), "settled near Cashel ... subsequent to the restoration of Charles II" and report that "Tradition, carefully preserved in the family, says they came from the King's co. or Longford".
