Families covered: Maltby of Maltby

(1) VCH (Yorkshire, North Riding, vol 2, Parishes: Stainton) provides a pedigree for this family which appears to contradict what is reported by Foster. We follow Foster but note that VCH starts with a Fulk de Maltby father of William father of John who was lord of Maltby in 1290 & 1303. John was succeeded by William before 1316, possibly father of John (a 1362, d before 1422) succeeded by Robert succeeded by John (a 1428), etc..
