Commoners reports that "The name of Hibbert appears to have been a corruption of Hubert, which may again be referred to the Norman Hudebert." We start with Nicholas of Marple who d 1506 because the first mentioned by BLG1886 was the Robert who was identified as 7th in descent from that Nicholas.
