(1) 'The Herald and Genealogist' reports that the "Henzey, or De Henezel, family ... appears (to have been) of Bohemian origin, and that the prinicpal branch of it settled in Lorraine", that possibly being in the 1400s.
(2) BLG1863 reports that "The Henzey family is of German origin, and was called Hentzell. ... Towards the end of the 16th century, they were driven, by religiouis persecution, from Frances, together with many other Protestant families of distinction, and took refuge in England."
