BLG1886 is slightly confusing, identifying William of Stobilee (d 1624) as great-grandson of Thomas of Stobille who was "living 1503, and 6th in descent from Robert de Grenewelle, who held the vill of Satley in chief, 1323" with that being interpretable either that William was 6th in descent from Robert or (perhaps less likely) that Thomas was. BLG1952 mentions Robert as ancestor of the following Thomas whilst 'History and Antiquities' & Commoners do not mention Robert at all but start with ...
