BP1934 (Ball) starts with the undermentioned Robert (who was born at Bampton, Devon), reporting that his family "claims descent from Nicholas Ball, of Chudleigh, whose great grandson Thomas Ball, of Southwood, was aged 100 in 1620". That does not confirm that Robert was descended from this Southwood line but we presume that he was grandson (or grand-nephew) of this John (son of the aged Thomas). | |||||||||||||||
