Gerald Aylmer of Balrath (captain)
MGH shows that Gerald was father of Christopher (and Bartholomew) by Mary Fitzwilliam. BP1934 reports that Gerald had issue by his 1st (unnamed) wife then identifies Mary Fitzwilliamas his 2nd wife then reports that Christopher was his eldest son. TCB (vol 3, 'Aylmer', p320) confirms that Christopher was by his 1st (unnamed) wife.
