Families covered: Seigneurs de Montpellier

JR, who kindly pulled together the following data for us, also provided the following notes (inter alia):
(1) "This family is also known as the Guilhems, the Guillems and the House of William due to the repetition of the Guilhem (Occitan for 'Guillaume' or 'William') regnal name in the lordship."
(2) "MedLands reports (with partial support from Wikipedia) that the origin of the lordship of Montpellier in Occitania began with two sisters of St. Fulcran, Archdeacon of Maguelone then Bishop of Lodève (all of whom were grandchildren of Bernard I, Cte de Melgueil), donating the adjoining lands of Montpellier and Montpelléret to the church at Maguelone (now Montpellier), and then Ricuin II, Archbishop of Maguelone, granting those lands as a fief to a knight named" the following Sir Guy.
(3) "MedLands notes that sources to confirm connections between various family members (shown in italics) have not yet been found." Unlike JR, we have not shown the following upper section in italics but note that it should be viewed as not fully proven.
