Visitation reports that the Symonds's family arms are identified differently in 2 different visitations: "in the first Visitation" as "Per fesse argent and sable, a pale and six trefoils counterchanged", in the 1612 Visitation as "Sable, a dolphin naiant embowed proper, finned or, devouring a fish also proper". That indicates that the connection with the above family, if any (other than through marriage), was not known at the time of the Visitations.
