Metcalfe's version of the 1618-9 Visitation shows the sons of William & Jane as Sir Robert, Sir Ralph, William & John. Lipscomb shows that Sir Robert as eldest son of that Sir Ralph. We follow Lipscomb on this as it is supported by VCH.
