Families covered: Edon of Ballindon, Eden of Lavenham, Edon (Eden) of Sudbury
[These 2 sections were first launched in a Temporary page on 21.10.13. They were moved here after review led to acceptance that there was little chance of our making a significant improvement to them in the near future and that they were 'good enough' to be promoted into the main database.]
Visitation (Essex) identifies the (quartered) arms of the following family as "Argent, on a fess gules between two chevrons azure, each charged with three escallops of the first, as many garbs or". There are some similarities between these and the arms shown for the family on Eden1, which came from co. Durham, but they are different enough to indicate that the connection was probably not close. | |||||||||||||||
