'Le Neve's Knights' (p186+), which provides most of the following, is supported by Thoresby and the Paston sources (including TCP ('Yarmouth') which identifes Rebecca as 2nd daughter) in suggesting that Rebecca was daughter of Sir Jasper Clayton by Mary Thompson. BLG1937 shows Thomas & Mary as parents of Mary, Rebecca + 5 sons (not named). Le Neve shows Sir Jasper & Mary as parents of Mary & Rebecca plus Prudence (with no husband) plus just 3 named sons albeit numbering Andrew as 5th son.
