Wood reports that the following branch "descended from the ancient family of Bayne of Tulloch". Wood starts with John of Logie. The 'BG family records' came about because the paternal grandmother of Peter Barns-Graham (founder of this site) was of the Meldrum (later Bayne-Meldrum) family which inherited Rires & Dura. Those records were partly based on Wood's work but started with John's father Alexander. 'RedBookScot' starts a generation earlier, reporting that the following John was "of uncertain parentage and ancestry". The connection with Logie leads us to suspect that he was closely connected to the family of Wester Logie shown above.
