  Walker appears to have confused the dates on these generations. He suggests that William's father Philip d 30.11.1663 whereas Dugdale suggests that he d c1622. Walker gives no dates for this William but Foster suggests that he b c1605 whilst Dugdale suggests that he d c1637. [Maddison, in his work on the Ellis family, suggests he b c1604, d before 09.1657 (could be well before).] Walker suggests that William's son Sir William b 1605 d 02.1667 but Dugdale suggests he was b c1627.
