  BP1934 does not show any wives for this John but a contributor (JH, 16.04.09) has kindly given us the names of John's 2 wives, identifying 'A History of Peeblesshire' by J.W. Buchan (1925) as the source. His 1st wife's father may have been James Durham, 5th of Pitkerrow, but we have yet to see evidence of that James having ever married an Alison Clerk.
